anenome/clownfish relation

Hi folks
This more of a curiosity question. I have had my anemone for about a month and ahalf now.most people have identitfied it as a hatian reef anemone( named big bad voodoo daddy). It started out bleeched from store but under led lighting quickly regained its color. I also have an African alardi clownfish( named john wayne gasey)who took took to the anemone after a week of being in dt. Before and after puchases I studied up as much as I could on clowns hosting nems. I can honestly say I am no expert on them but I do understand the relationship benifits they share. Now after all that my question. I know that the brain capacity of a fish and nem are not like ours. It is more of an instinct that will attract a clown to a nem. I do believe though that in the clowns mind it is fully aware of its nem. However does a nem have any knowing at all that it has a clown, living, cleaning, protecting, and feeding it? Granted I am well aware there is no way of answering this,so basically I am looking for opinions. Thank you for your time

I think so, my clowns can go nuts inside my anemones, but just a single tentacle touches my finger and they pull in. The anemones have definitely evolved to know good and bad touches in my opinion.
