Acetal?

I had an idea and I was wondering if Acetal can be used in marine aquariums.

Thanks!

Used for what? What's the idea? What kind of acetal are you talking about? Acetal is a functional group, not really a molecule by itself.

The word acetal describes any aldehyde that has undergone nucleophylic attack by an ether. So I'm not sure I'm following what you are calling acetal. The word doesn't mean much without naming the particular aldehyde and ether involved. I'm sure toxicity varies.
