Looking for an ID
My Trochus seems to like to keep a "flower" in its hair, maybe it grew up in the late 60's.
The petals for lack of a better term look white in this photo. Here is a close-up, the petals look greenish in this picture but they look more white to the eye. The "flower" also appears to have a green stalk.

It's a Parvocaulis sp. (or similar) green algae.
