Tunze Silence Electronic Recirculation Pump
I'm sure many of you are using the Tunze Silence Electronic Recirculation Pumps, any pros or cons? It seems like these baby's are the most efficient and possibly the most reliable. With exception to the Eheim return pumps, but looking at the Eheims, there not as efficient electrically. Any thoughts?
Thanks.... |

I can add a bit more information to this question. I'm looking at the Tunze model 1073.05 Recirculation Pump vs. the Eheim 1260

I use a 1260 and love it. If I remember correctly the Tunze recirculating pumps will not push against much head pressure so your flow is reduced dramatically if you have say 4' of head pressure. Check out their on-line owners manual.

Thanks for your experience with the Eheim's vs Tunze's pumps. I have a 1048 Eheim that I have used for pumping water to my freshwater tank for probably the better part of 10 years, zero issues. I was hoping to find a more energy efficient pump. I'll re-think my pump selection, thanks
