Any PAR measurements for (2) 120W Maxspect Razors?
I'm looking for PAR measurements for (2) Maxspect 120W 16,000K over a 48" tank. I can't seem to find any...
...any help?

Like "low" light SPS on the bottom of a 24" deep tank-type "pretty high" or not so much?

I would love to find this information as well. They are cheap compared to some of the other brands out there and seem to have a nice spectrum.

I have taken some PAR measurements over my 90 gallon with 2 120 watt razors (Apogee PAR meter). I have a center "brace" in the middle as well which did effect the PAR.
The lights sit around 7 inches above my canopy. Right under the light was 3000... or the max the meter could read. At the top of my rocks in the "center" of the two clusters under the light, (about 10 inches below water level) I was getting around 450-600 depending on where the meter was. Under the center brace in the center I was only getting around 150. I do have a couple of SPS here, however, and they are growing....slowly... but still growing. At the sand bed I was getting 100-200 all the way across the tank. (24 inches to the bottom on my standard 90). Here is a picture to get an idea of what my rock work looks like. This picture was taken about a year ago, however, before the Razors were on the tank (I've had them over the tank for about 6 months now and they are doing very good!) My tank now is practically all SPS and is around 2 years old. This light has worked out great for my tank.

Thanks for the input Duncan.
It does seem like the Razors are getting similar PAR numbers to the leading modular LEDs, so I do wonder about them. I saw the Razors at MACNA in Dallas last year and I remember the Razors had the most notable color separation of all the LEDs I saw there. I honestly wasn't interested in LED lighting at the time though, and didn't study the lighting systems very well. They were mounted over a relatively small tank if I remember correctly, so that may have played a part in the separation. I look forward to checking out each LED lighting system much closer at MACNA in Miami this year. Maybe I will make the switch this fall...

Everyone else has nothing but good things to say about them. I did talk to one other person at my LFS and he too saw them at MACNA and said that it had the worst color separation that he had ever seen. He said he got the Kessil A350 because it had absolutely no color separation due to the Dense Matrix LED. I wonder if maybe the display model at MACNA had this problem only? Maybe they fixed it? Like I said nobody else has mentioned this but you and the other person I mentioned. And both of you guys were at MACNA. Has anybody else noticed color separation too?

If you put them too close to the surface you get a disco, they look much better 7-12" off the waters surface. It's been mentioned before.

I've also read about the speed in which people see light compared to cameras and the fact that cameras pick up color separation where eyes won't. It was also mentioned that eye speed generally varies mildly from one person to another so some people may be able to see color separation where others can't. Maybe this is why pretty much every fixture out there has at least a few people mentioning color separation where others swear there is none.
