how many snails?

ok so my tank finshed cycling today and am going to the lfs today to buy some snails and am wondering how many I should get to start off with I have a 75 gallon tank and the total water volume is 72 gallons

I would get 2 or 3 turbos, about 10 astrea snails, 10 crabs to start.
You could look up clean up crews online to give you an idea of what type snails, crabs, etc. you should purchase to help keep your tank clean and healthy. Sometimes buying a package is the best way to go.

Since your tank is fairy new, I would probably start off with about 7-10 snails (trochus or turbo) & maybe a few scarlet hermits. See how they do for awhile and then adjust the population accordingly. Being able to get by with the LEAST amount of janitors in your tank is really what you want to strive for. Sometimes these packages you can buy online are a bit of an overkill IMO.
