Reef Ocotopus 3000 cone skimmer (external)-anyone using?
I am looking at buying this used for my new 240 gallon tank but will need to run it outside of the stand so wondering how noisy it will be. Anybody on here running one of these?

I haven't had experience with that specific one but I will never buy a different brand since I have owned Reef Octos. I always get one overated for the tank being used though.

Good to know, thanks for the input. Are reef octopus generally not too noisy? I will have to run outside of my stand so concerned about noise.

Not in my experience as far as comparing to others however the process of creating bubbles will create some where you will hear it. A while ago I ran one under a tank without cabinets and I could hear it a bit but as soon as TV came on I couldn't hear it at all. Reading a book on the other hand, you will have some noise.
