Saltwater Tank Needs Fish
I'm getting a 75 gallon saltwater tank. I'll set it up and all that jazz (I've gotten plenty of help with that), but I need ideas on fish... bigger fish, not the small ones, and unique, cool fish.
I want to get some form of a teacup stingray, opinions on that? I want to get snowflake eels, opinions on that? I want to know if there are any small octopus that wont eat my other fish I want to know if a sea horse will be eaten by other fish I possibly want a small shark, small enough to not eat my other fish Other than that I'm looking for cool fish ideas, something unique and cool, and has some size to it. Not huge but easily a few inches. What should I get in the way of a cleanup crew that wont be eaten? |

hate to say it but most of the fish you want will not thrive in a 75 gal. the snowflake eel will be fine and the seehorse will be fine but deff. not together the seahorse's need a tank of their own and need BBS fed everyday.

I like the Humboldt squid in my tank. He is real happy and plays with all the other fish.

Quote:
1. Are you going to be setting up a reef (coral)? 2. Do you know what "all that jazz" entails in keeping a tank? 2. Eels in general are escape artists, like octopus. You need a lid that is beyond tight fitting. Snowflake eels are hardy, and should be good for a 75g, but you can't keep crustaceans. You also need bigger fish that they can't eat. 1. No on octopus, and shark. Octopus are beyond difficult to keep, let alone the tightest lid possible for them. Sharks get way too big for a 75g. 2. No on a seahorse. They need to be kept in a species specific only tank.
