Ummm... HI. My name is Andrew and I have always been interested in saltwater tanks to eventually prepare for a reef tank.
So. I don't have much time to research anything or learn anything... My sister moved and didn't want to take her tank so it's now mine. 20 gallon tank with about 25lbs of rock. 2 black percs. A corallife 24" hood with 1000k 65w and a 65 watt blue actinic bulb. I moved the tank and the inhabitants all seem to be doing well but the water will not clear up. Hi that's me and we'll I hope I can get a nice tank going...ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21372561135.606581.jpg |

To Reef Central love the skull, it blends in fairly well also. what filters are you running on the tank? any carbon? what types of powerheads?

Partial water change and try to drop a bag of activated carbon somewhere in that filter. I use a Aqua Clear 50 for carbon. Love the skull! I also have a skull in my 120 FW planted tank. Welcome and happy reefing.

The tank this morning was clearer and keeps improving I did add a small bag of activated carbon. New turbos and red & blue legs. Ordered new bulbs for the light fixture and will be testing parameters starting tomorrow in hopes its ready for coral. The tank has been established for three years but my sister had not always taken the best care. Ie: salt variation late top offs etc...
Hope it goes well... |
