Co2 Reactor Problem. Not sealed??
Dear partners, someone help me out here please
Ive got set up a Bubble Magus c100 (small tank) and its driving me crazy. Issues: - Without inserting CO2 (valve closed) the bubles inside the reactors body looks like a skimmer. The pump is skimming some gas, obviously not Co2 - When I insert CO2 in the reactor the ph inside decreases but the low ph lasts only a few minutes, I mean imagine that the co2 decreases to 6.20 well, in a few minutes the ph goes to 7.50 again so the profilux insert co2 again and my co2 bottle goes empty in a few days when I should have co2 for months ) - The transparent line that must be the recirculation co2 to the pump is always without water. If i m right this line should have water and now and then some co2 bubbles should cross the line tho the pump for the co2 recirculation, am I right? Ok, it seems that the reactor is not sealed and is taking air from I dont know where. How can i discover where is the problem, where do you think guys? Could be just the pump? the lines? the body? Thank you so much |

Shut the recirc pump off, purge all air and close off the effluent valve while keeping the feed line open and see if water is leaking from the reactor or plumbing.
