looking to convert from metal halide to led
i currently have a 120 ish gallon tank . it is ( 40w x 36d x 21 t ) it currently has a single 400 w metal halide 20k. reflector is 19.5 x 19.5 lumenarc i think. it seems to cover pretty well. i was thinking i have a lot of new led that i was going to use on another tank at one time that has yet to come to . I have
(4) 6" makers heatsinks i would like to put 12 RB 4 NW 2 OCW 4TV on each heatsink i also have the Dim4 controller . Would like to know what your thoughts on par as well as coverage. would i get close to the same as the halide and is it worth it to change it out i could just had some tubes and accent the RB and TV on the halide . Looking for opinions before i buy any more led . i would have to order 24 more RB and 4 NW and 2TV and a few more inventronic drivers i think i have 3 40w 700ma and 2 40w 500ma . i will be keeping sps and clams however due to the dimensions of the tank i believe i could strtigically place the live rock under some of the pods. At this point i wish i were not in this deep i would have bought 2 radians and been done. but it is what it is. Please help. |
