Biocube hqi 29 lighting?

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a 29 gallon biocube hqi for very cheap. But it did not come with the stock clip on metal halide. Anyone have any ideas of what kind of led light I could get to just place on top of the glass top? I would like to keep all types of corals and the light can be no longer than 17inches long. Please help. Thank you.

There are several types of LED lights out there that you can buy, I had the same tank a while back and used 12inch Stuner LED lights just to add a shimmer effect to the tank. They have several different color options/combinations as well as an optional dimmer switch. I don't know that I would rest the lights on the glass though, I would look for a way to raise the lights off the glass at least 5 inches. Hope this helps...

You probably want to keep away from just resting an LED fixture on top of the tank or it'll really heat things up. Have you looked through Marine Depot's site? They have a ton in different sizes. You can also DIY a fixture for pretty cheap...
