Need advice on picking the correct bulb
I have a 29 gallon with a 250w DE metal halide. I believe it currently has a 14k bulb in it, bought it used so not 100% sure. I have only had the light for about 3 months, but i want to put in a new bulb to track the life of the bulb. Seeing as i don't know how old this one is, i want to be able to keep better track of the bulb life.
My next question is what type of bulb is best? I know i want 20K after doing some research, but i'm not sure on which brand is the best. Any advice and guidance on which brand to buy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

I would start with trying to find out which bulb you have now and what you think of it. All bulbs will have some type of identifier on an end, it could be the actual brand name or a generic name if it is a repackaged bulb(common).
