ReefBreeder Value vs ReefRadiance Dm132e vs Dm155e
just like the title says which would you say is the best bang for the buck out of the three. again im comparing the reef breeder value fixture, reef radiance Dm132e, Dm155e. also which one is more reliable and has the great coral growth. im uprgrading from a oddysea t5 fixture so im sure any will do a hige difference. il be using these fixtures over a 20 gallon High mixed reef. but will be upgrading to a 40 gallon breeder in the next couple of months. what you guys think ?

IMHO Reef Breeders has a better reputation and sells more. Their 'value fixture' and the Reef Radiance DM155e are almost the same light. If money is the key, shop price between the 2. If not, toss a coin. However, I wouldn't touch the Dm132e with a 10' pole. All blue and white? It can work, but you really need to know a lot more about the spectrum (graph) of the whites being used. Like I said, it may work if it's done right, by why risk an old school design. The RB VF is proven to work.
BTW, I had EverGrow D120 fixtures (same as the RB VF) and swapped them out for a different basic fixture which I like a lot better!

I have 2 of the DM132e and they are a fine light...here they are side by side with my 14k 250w Phoenix bulbs in Lumen Bright pendants and Lumatek ballasts you can see that they look very nearly as bright but the color is a lot better than my halides are,the biggest difference between the DM132e side and the halide side is the rear wall isn't as bright, and the DM132e don't have the windex blue look that being said, I would have purchased the DM155e if they had been available at the time, you made a fine choice with the DM155e

There is a slight difference in LED layout and quantity of LED colors between the 2 brands.
Yes - they are basically the same thing - however I opted to go with the DM-155e's for my new build for 2 reasons only: 1.) At the time I ordered them, they were on sale, so it saved me a few bucks. 2.) The Reef Radiance standard layout appealed to me just a little more than the Reef Breeders.

ReefBreeder Value vs ReefRadiance Dm132e vs Dm155e
Reef radiance sells evergrows but his other leds are not made evergrows. Reef breeders are made by greensun not evergrow. Ocean revive fixtures are evergrow
Rick with reef radiance customer service and patience to answer all my questions over the phone made my decision to go back to leds over my sps tank even when I had bad results with ai sols and went back to mh |
