Purigen for Fish Only tank?
I have seen alot about purigen lately. I have a fish only tank with no live rock and have always used carbon it has always done great as far as nitrites, nitrates, etc.. go. I added 3 more fish to my tank and I am looking for a way to keep nitrites and stuff down. Will Purigen really help anymore than carbon? Thanks!

I use it in all my systems. I use two of the big containers worth of it in a bag in each sump. Don't know it might not do anything

Neither carbon or Purigen will do much (if anything) to help with nitrite/nitrate. If nitrite is showing up in a mature tank, something is wrong, probably a bad test kit. FWIW, neither nitrite or nitrate will bother SW fish at any level likely to be seen with good WC practices, etc.
