Whar algae is this?
Anyone know what algae is this?
I noticed a lot of clear mini air bubbles on the rocks and then this dark green algae start creeping up on the rocks... Is this cyanobacteria? How do I overcome this type of algae? |

Does it come off the rocks fairly easy? It looks kind of like turf algae to me. The bubbles you were seeing were most likely oxygen being produced through photosynthesis. Check this out.

I've heard urchins will do a little too good of a job, like eating all the coraline off of your rocks.

I sent the photos to ReefCleaners and they advised me that the algae are green coraline algae which would change colours in no time...
