Atb multiuse Skimmer pump suggestions?

The eheim 1250 pump died and atb discontinued the pump. What would people suggest as a good replacement pump?

Is the sicce psk 600 a good fit?

Whats the specs on that skimmer? I'd replace the pump with a shark pump ( modified sicce syncra) They're better than the psk pumps.

Try asking for Tom at Socaltropicalfish.com Tom doesn't own the store anymore buy he still knows the owner, he may be able to get you a oem pump.

That Eheim pump is usually bulletproof. What went out on it?

Atb multiuse Skimmer pump suggestions?

Have you emailed Victor at ATB? Like the previous poster said what's the problem with it? You can get parts for that pump still and piece it together.

i know and was surprised. the motor block just died. motor felt warm when i took it out. won't turn when after it cooled down. didn't hear any noises or humming. the motor is encased in epoxy right, so no way to repair?

i did before and remember he said the body is modified by atb and aren't available anymore. i'll check with him again.

in the meantime i stuck the pinwheel/volute on a spare 1250 and jerry rigged the output to the skimmer. working for now but looking for a more permanent solution. just need a replacement pump with an output i can connect to a 20mm od pipe.

No bone surgeon here but have been around for a while. Tom is a friend with Victor, Tom carried ATB at the shop and then sold the shop, so they may still have parts. I believe that Tom is still friends with the new owner I know this sounds like a soap opera maybe Bravo should carry it.

Have you tried a long soak in vinegar. Wondering if the bearings are not fouled.

Greg, do you mean soak the impeller? I didn't do a soak, but it was a new impeller with the ceramic bearings with only 2 months of use. Also, the impeller is working in my back up 1250.
