Brent,
I have used a 1hp Aqua Euro for over 4 years on my 400g system. I'm in SW Florida and we keep our house at 80 degrees most of the year (cooler for a few months in the dry season). And for 3+ yrs I had 1250W of MH and 300W of t5 over the tank, so the chiller had to work. I now have leds and it runs considerably less. I have it outside, along the north wall of the house (in the shade) and in a small, well ventilated storage box.
In the 4 years I've had it, I've had zero issues and it keeps my tank a steady 79-80 degrees. I have no problems recommending it.
