Introducing Wild colonies..Best single dip recipe
If you were introducing a Wild Acro and Montipora colony into your system, what would be the best dip recipe to kill pest?
Also is there a link to the Bayer recipe..I see a lot of links but no solid dosage instructions. Ive seen everything from 8ml per gallon to 20ml per cup! Thanks Last edited by 240gallons; 09/07/2013 at 06:28 PM. |

I'm also interested in this answer. (I almost posted the exact question before finding this thread.)

The average seems to be 15ml per liter. However, its really all over the chart

The best is to quarantine (even for aquaculture) because dips will kills the living adults, but most of the time the eggs remain intact. If you have adults you must likely have eggs...
Here is a link with more info with what worked for someone using the the Bayer pesticide. But as you said is mostly a trial and error process. For this person 6ml was enough, some people have been using 20ml per cup. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...ighlight=bayer Also, I have only seen the Bayer Pesticide used for SPS, not sure if it works for other corals. |
