Hydroponic grow lights

just curious I would like to know if for growing purposes will hydroponic lights work with corals? Thinking about the red colored since they are for growth of plants.

I am not going to tell you no it will not work however please consider this; Algae are neither plants or animals because they do not have everything that would make them plants or animals. Algae belong to a group called protists. but are closer to the plant side of definition... and these lights are designed to grow plants So its your choice.

Definitely not. Too much red will lead to algae problems
