What replacement skimmer pump to get?

I got this Reef Octopus skimmer with a CL deal and unfortunately the OTP-2000 needle wheel pump is dead as a door nail. I want to replace the pump, but I can't spend an arm and a leg, about $50-100. I have been in touch with USA support for RO and they don't even have a schematic for my particular skimmer, but they were able to tell me this:

"The latest OTP 2000 draws 190gallons at 420lph/15schf of air. The one on that skimmer was likely less air similar water draw.

Based on this information, can someone suggest a decent replacement pump that I can plumb to the 1 1/4" rubber grommet intake on the skimmer housing? I don't want to invest a lot especially if the skimmer isn't worth it. Here it is, what do you think I should do?
