small brown spots on glass

I am getting small brown spots on my glass . they are kinda hard to get off and have to be scraped. Is this just an algae that is a part of my 6 month old tank maturing ?

+1 on this.. I had a lot of them and almost overnight my glass turned into coraline city. I scraped the glass and about two months later I'm starting to get them again...

My tank is about a year old so I'm taking it as a good sign.
