HELP Me Please!!!
So last night i did my first water change and partial scrub on my tank. The tank has just finished its 6 week cycle and this morning i woke up to see white spots on some of my fish. Is this ick? Can they really get ick over one night? My one clown has no spots, my other clown has a couple, the firefish has a couple, the 6 line has none, and my green clown goby is covered. i dont have qt tank. is there anything i can do?

1st off slow down, you are adding fish to fast for a tank that just cycled. but yes ich can infect the fish over night, weather you can see it on all your fish or not the truth is all your fish have it now.
what I would do is go to petco and grab a 20 gal tank, small heater and small filter (the cheap sponge filters will work fine and some copper treatment and test kits and treat all the fish properly, a small QT shouldn't cost more than $50 to setup and will help alot. at the top of this forum there are stickies that tell you how to treat your fish in QT and you will have to leave the main tank fishless for about 10 weeks to kill of the ich. good luck

You have a lot of fish in a newly cycled tank. Did you add them all at one time?
In order to treat them for ich, you absolutely need to set up a QT tank and treat them accordingly. Please read the sticky at the top of this forum about ich and QT.

only the fish need to be removed. the shrimp won't be able to handle treatment, but they can't get ich.

All new water otherwise you will introduce the ich to the QT. It will die off with the copper but I would just use new water. Also, keep all parts for each tank completely separate. Meaning, do not cross contaminate between the 2.

Alrighty thanks, I wasn't gonna cross the parts anyways. Now do I have to cycle this qt or is it ok to put the fish right into the new water without too many problems

in a perfect world you should cycle the QT, but most people don't set them up till it is to late so you can get by without, just watch the ammonia levels and be ready to act on them asap.
