Moving Live rock from Tank Infected with Velvet to clean tank How to kill it?
Want to move some live rock but do not want to infect my 200G
How do i kill the Velvet on the rock? Let it sit in fresh water? |

That would kill the live rock.
So would antibiotic. An acriflavine bath for the rock might serve. I would limit it to about 15 minutes.

I would kill the rock (bleach) and re-cycle it if needed.

velvet lifecycle is supposed to be 10 weeks. i would run the tank fallow for 12 to be sure.
