Does Kent Nitrate Sponge work?
Trying to keep my nitrates down in conjunction with Ro/DI weekly water changes. I'm at 15 and want to get it down more.
Does Kent Nitrate Sponge work? I know it's been around a long time. If it works how long between changing the media? |

The zeolite does not work in saltwater. In saltwater it will only act as a bacterial medium... same as live rock.

There's plenty of tried and true methods of nitrate removal. Look into macro algae, bio-pellets, carbon dosing, better skimmer or different method of skimming (dry skim to wet skim) etc...
