My Beginner Acquiarium

I am a beginner, and I've had this aquarium going for about 3 months now.

It is 16 gallons with 16 lbs of live rock. Sand substrate.

6 grass shrimp
4 eastern mud snails
1 nassarius snail
6 long-clawed hermit crabs

The only fish in there is a juvenile permit fish. I know that this fish will get very large, but I caught it recently in the great south bay in NY and won't it die in the winter if it is released?

All the others were caught in the bay as well.

Based of of my description and my pictures attached, is there any obvious advice or suggestions that anyone can provide? Thanks.

i'd be careful putting caught fish straight into your tank because it might bring disease and parasites.
