Two MP10s, or one MP40?
I have a 75g reef tank (48x15x24) with two newly added Radion XR30w 2nd gen lights. I am so impressed with the lights that I want everything in my tank to be made by Ecotech Marine.
I am now looking to replace my two tired (and bulky) Hydor Evolution 750s with Vortechs. Although I have some SPS now... and I'm looking to accumulate some more soon. With that in mind, am I better off going with two MP10s or a single MP40? My thought is the two MP10s could be set on either side of the tank and create more movement with fewer dead spots. Or, I could put them on the same side of the tank; one high, one low. I could use some guidance on what to buy, and where to put them for optimum performance. Thanks! |

Jn,
I would recommend taking a look at our VorTech flow calculator, it will provide you with more information on how many and which type of VorTech is best for your aquarium. http://ecotechmarine.com/calculator/

Thank you for the response Alex, however I have already used the calculator and it yielded similar results for both scenarios... so, I'm looking for a little bit more of an opinion than raw data.
