Possible first fish casualty... :(
Came home today, the right side of the Royal Gramma is looking bad, looks chewed up and scales missing, and he won't eat.
He WAS a glutton, always eating up a storm. I have no idea what happened, he got along with the clowns and bullied the chromis to no end, still does actually. Only other fish is the yellow watchman, he looks fine, but he's quite small and sticks to his cave. Knew it would happen, losing a fish, but still sucks. |

Sometimes these things happen. I lost a juvenile naso tang earlier this week, only had him 3 weeks. He wasn't cheap either!!!

Are your clowns laying eggs? That can be a game changer when it comes to their aggression.

The RG is making a recovery.
I can't take credit, as I thought he was a goner. He's turning into a bit of a bully. Still got a bit of whiteness on the right side, but almost gone. |

I added an Orchid Dottyback but my yellow eye kole wouldn't leave him alone, before I could remove him he was chased into my carpet anemone, he manage to escape but one side was pretty beat up, scales falling and all. I moved him to a different tank where I have a very nice, and well behave yellow tang, still he ended up dying.
My yellow tang didn't care about him, or anything else. |
