Lighting Schedule 4 Bulb T5
Hey everyone,
This is a 4 bulb 48" Odyssea T5 system with built in timer over a standard 55 gallon tank. My lighting schedule is as follows: 4 led Moonlights 1030pm-8am 2 Actinics 8am-1030pm 2 10000k 1030am -830pm This lighting schedule lets me enjoy the tank while im home but also gives the tank 10 hours of full light. Is having the actinics on for 14 hours to much? Would the actinics cause extra algae growth? Is 10 hours of 10000k to much? I love the blue color and figured it was not as intense as having all 4 bulbs on the system. Corals in the system are 2 rics 2 mushrooms, 3 colonies of zoa, colony of xenia. I want to add a GBTA soon as well as move towards some LPS (hammer, torch, frogspawn) Thanks everyone in advance for the insight |

For the actinics 12 hours is recommended but 14 is not going to do any harm. I would try to limit the day lights to 8 hours maximum.

For what you currently have, 6-8hrs daylight and 8-12hrs actinics should be fine.
