Sand Shovel

I have fine bermuda sand with a lot of debris/dirt/detritius on it....I have a shovel but the grates are too large to get the little stuff...any suggestions?

siphon didn't work well

When you siphon it out, use a filter/mesh thing to catch the sand but lets the dirt pass trough, or go the other way.

You can also consider getting something that will keep your sand bed clean (140 gallon). I have a sand shifting star that keeps my sand as white as it is. You can also find fish that will do the same.
