Aquamax cone 3 vs SRO 3000int

With black friday around the corner I wanted to get some feedback on a skimmer. I'm currently in the middle of my 180 gallon w/55 gallon basement sump. I'll probably be running a mixed aquarium, probably moderately stocked.

I've been leaning torwards the sro 3000int. The more I look around I see the Aquamax cone 3's come up time to time at a cheaper price. Both seem to be good build quality and 8" bodies/ very similar features.

Just wondering which one is better / or if there is another option floating around.

Thanks!

I went through several skimmers and the aquamax co3 is excellent. The pump on it is very quiet. One negative is the cup is somewhat small

I don't have experience with the aquamax, but I recently switched to a SRO 3000int on my 180 and I could not be happier. I switched from a much more expensive 10 inch body skimmer and it was just too big for my bio load. But back when I bought it, the thought was you could not get one big enough Honestly, you will probably be happy with either one, from what I have read about the aquamax.

Thats about what I've been reading. Well its good to hear more feedback that either should do well/ probably comparable. Well i guess it'll depend on who has the better sale.

Thanks!

I would get the aquamaxx cone 3 at marine depot for $311 right now. Can't beat that price with a stick. Better quality pump also imo. Sicce shark over the bubble blaster all day.
