Home DI Setup - Advice please - LOOK

Take a look at my RO/DI setup. Left is salt can - Right is topoff. Plumbed to the tank in the next room. Been up and running for about six mos now. Starting to notice a "slimy residue" as well as some white sediment. The ONLY thing going in to these "Food Safe" brute containers is ZERO TDS water from a ReefCentral Unit and ReefCrystals Salt. Lids always on. No light. Heater and Powerhead in the salt can.

Suggestions?

Advice?

Slime is probably bacteria, airborne particles do make it into containers, the lids are not air tight. Clean the containers when they start to slime, you can also smell it when lid is taken off, at least I can. White residue in salt container is precip from the salt, nothing to worry about.
