Red Sea Max 250 or 130D?

I know this sounds like no brainer but I am trying to decide between a 250 with ok equipment or a 130 with nice equipment. Any thoughts? They both have LEDs retrofitted into the hood.

250.

Bigger tank instead of essentially a nano. And there is some room back there to rearrange things on the 250 and add pieces you want later. There is essentially no room in the nano version and a small list of equipment that can serve as eligible upgrades anyways.

I would prefer a system where you can add your own, fancier, LED light -- but if they both have RapidLED/Exoxotic retrofits that you are content with, I'd definitely go bigger if the price is right.

Go big or stay home Lol I owned the 130D and it was one of the worst tanks I have ever owned. In a year and a half I had to replace 3 fans, 4 pumps, the lighting timer, and as far as the skimmer goes it would not even make a good paper weight. You did say that it has many upgrades so that's good. A smaller tank requires just as much maintenance as a smaller tank it just takes a little bit longer. But setting up and stocking a larger tank is more expensive, but gives you way more options.
