Algae ID?

Hey guys. Does anyone know what this stuff is? I'm new to hobby only 2 months in and have this stuff growing on the underside of rocks everywhere

They look like white Foraminiferans, but I can't be 100% sure from the picture. If they are, you're in good shape because they are actually protozoans as opposed to algae.

Um, we didn't answer your questions? Did you do a search on Foraminiferans and compare it to what is in your tank?

I have those all over my tank - I thought they were hydroids.

Well, there are many, many types of hydroids and some do look similar to the OP's pic. Could be Bryozoans or Forams too - would need a better pic. See here: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchodds.html
