In sump skimmer questions

Hey yall, i currently have a 46b with a hob skimmer. In the next couple weeks or months i will be starting over and doing it right. The question i have is will a Reef Octopus 4 (100 Gallon) Fit inside a 10 gallon tank?

If it's a standard 10 gallon aquarium the skimmer should fit.

Sweet thanks for the reply. I was also planning on putting a Eheim Compact+ 3000 Pump as a return. I think i should be able to fit the bagfles as well

I would do a 20l so you can baffle it and make a fuge

I would measure the inside of the stand. Then, try to get the largest aquarium you can for a sump. It might be difficult to baffle a 10g sump with such a big skimmer.
You can also look at a smaller footprint skimmer. Like s bubble magnus. BM has a skimmer rated 25g to 80g with a footprint of 4.3 x 6.8

During my rebuild if i remove the brace on the stand it should fit a 20 gallon. But that wont happen till the end of the holidays probably

If you remove the brace to get the sump in, make sure you are able to re-install the brace to support the display tank.

Yea im scared it wont go back in right. It's funny, i can fix a 30million helicopter with no problems, but easy diy stuff....thats another story lol

You should probably get a couple of engineers from work to aid you in the destruction and re-struction of the stand. lol. Then you will really be lost!

They will just throw hammers at it and call it good lol. But when i take it down i plan on putting my two clowns, toadstool and gsp in a 10 gallon. Luckily those corals are tiny frags
