Question Auto-Feeder question

I don't have an advanced monitoring system as most people on this forum seem to have (no RK or Apex/Neptune); so my question is this:

I've read where if you have overflows on your tank, most automatic feeders when dropping flakes will just end up staying on top and eventually except for the top feeders, minimal ammounts will make it to the bottom.

I'm looking for a feeder, and wanted some input.

Flake food is a problem when you have moving water. Why don't you try sinking pellets That's what I feed all of my tanks.

You can also use a feeding ring.
This video is for turtles, but it works just the same for fish.

Search the internet for 'automatic fish feeder ring' (or similar terms). It can help keep the food in one location till it hydrates and sinks.

(edit)
Ah, Sacohen beat me to it...

My fish can sense the vibrations from the auto feeder when it runs and they rush over to that side of the tank to grab the flakes as soon as they hit the water. They learned to do that in less than a week!
