Power heads in rock wall

I'm looking to build a rock wall on a sheet of egg crate. I would like to integrate 2 small ph's to try to stop dead spots behind the wall. Not looking for max flow, already have 2 x mp 40.

Reliability is high on the list as maintenance will be a bit of a pain. Small size also a plus as the body will be integrated on the back side of the wall.

Front runners are mj 1200 and tunze 6015. What else should I consider in this price range? How much larger is the tunze than the mj?

MJ pumps wouldn't be my first choice. I've used them for years to drive reactor pumps and & for mixing SW. I found that they foul & stop earlier & more often than other brands. Maybe hard tubing with a perforated spray bar behind the wall would work for you. That way you could run the pump in the sump for easy access.

I'm thinking having the output of the pumps facing out through a hole in the wall adding to the flow in the tank to a degree and hoping that the draw on the back of the wall will be enough to keep stuff from settling behind the wall. I'm planning to leave a small gap at the bottom so I can get my siphon hose in at the bottom and get anything that does manage to settle during normal water changes.
