Building frag tank

So I am new on here don't know if this is how this works.. I have had a few reef tanks in the past a 75 gal a 90 gal corner now down to a 25 gal cube due to a move... My birthday is coming up and my wife is wanting to buy me a frag tank. It will be a 36x18x12 glass with corner over flow. I have never had a frag tank aNd would like some advice in hardware/setup. I know I do want aqua illumination hydra LEDs. Aside from thaT I don't know what I want! Any advice would be great!

Do you know what you would like to primary put into this tank? This is a critical aspect as ive setup frag tanks to accompany softies, LPS, and SPS. Mixing is fine but ive found it better to fit the needs of the primary corals.

Does your 25 cube have a sump? It would be easier to plumb them together and share a sump. Otherwise youre on the right track with the AI Hydra. I would suggest no pump in the tank besides the return so you can see the nems from the top which blows away any glass view. Easy SPS should do well but you really need flow for them to thrive.

You'll have to treat it like a regular tank then, you'll need a heater, skimmer, light etc. Otherwise, take your time and have fun!
