14g Stocking options, suggestions etc

So i've been thinking... a lot about what is going to inhabit my 14g biocube. And here's what I'm thinking. This is all in order btw.

CUC - Two nassarius snails
(2 weeks later) frogspawn, eagle eye zoa
(2 weeks later) ocellaris clown
(1 month later) bicolor blenny, GSP, moar zoas)

And that's it! Maybe in the future a hammer coral and a goby, would get a blue neon but i think they're terrible overpriced

You tank is not big enough for a clownfish as mentioned on the other thread you already have about stocking a 14g tank.

i have 2 clowns in my 14g along with a royal gramma and i recently moved my goby there from my 29g because he was being picked on by the dottyback (stupid impulse buy!!). the clowns and the gramma have lived together peacefully for over a year and the addition of the goby hasn't disturbed a thing and in fact, his tail fin is slowing growing back. i do 10%+ weekly water changes. my clowns are atypical since they do not hang in one spot, they are all over the tank except at night when they sleep in a corner.

You can add thwe corals at anytime, they don't increase the bio-load. For fish a yellow clown golby, a purple or Helfrichi Firefish and a Yellowstripped Cardinalfish.

A 14g is a tight fit for clowns even the samller ocelaris species . 20 g is recommended for them by Scott W Micahel's in "Marine Fishes".FWI, I keep 6 breeding pairs; in separate tanks ;smallest is a 30 g breeder.

That thread was about putting an angel in my 14g and I didn't want to derail too much from it. No one's forcing you to reply to my threads and I am contributing to this great forum.

I do love contradicting posts, Clowns do get pretty big though as I saw in my lfs. So just stick to the blenny and a goby then?

I would add the corals at the same time but I want to go slowly just to lessen the blow to my wallet, bad timing because school starts in a week too

The ones I have had swam out in the water column quite a bit but would rapidly retreat into holes in the rockwork when frightened. The bicolors are cool fish.

Seems like choosing which fish to buy is like buying a car you gotta choose and wait to see if you still like it after a while, I.e I was dead set on getting a royal gramma but losst interest...

I would get a firefish or purple firefish. They usually stay dead center in the tank and have some great colors. A goby & pistol shrimp would be another addition as they are fantastic to watch in such a small setup. Add a few hermits and turbo snails as well. Bicolor and starry blennies as previously suggested get fairly large actually, my starry blenny is about 5 inches. He is very skiddish by the way. Nassarius snails are also awesome to watch as they are one of the fastest snails I have ever seen. I have about 15 in my tank (although I think they are multiplying since I have had them for over 4 years) and they scavenge the sandbed and slip up and down the glass.

If i were you, I would focus on corals more than fish. A BC14 can look beautiful with lots of zoas and some nice lps. Just youtube some setups to get an idea.

I would either stick with one clown fish not a pair if you are going to get a clown. I would truly recommend a clown goby. I have one in my tank and he is more active then My maroon clown. But he is only active if you stand by the tank, he expects that I am going to put brine shrimp in every time I stand to watch. My clown goby loves attention rarely hides. But he does love to perch on my Kenya tree. It's up to you buy if your going to do a clown in a small tank be ready to upgrade then. I would move her to a larger tank after about 8-10 mo.

If you thought the last one was dumb. Why would you read another thread of his then on the same matter? Hoping he was asking a question on a different subject? Just pointless to leave a comment if your not going to be respectful of the person.
