Starting my 120 gallon build.
Here's how it looked when I got it home. It was filled with about 50% of the water from the tank, live coral sand and about 30 lbs of live rock. I am picking up 50 more lbs of live rock to start building. I'm running a Fluval HOB filter and a powerhead currently. I will be adding a refugium with a PVC DIY overflow if I can figure out how to do it. Here is the way it currently stands.image.jpg

Already re-scraped the tank, couldn't resist. Looking for suggestions on order of additions. Here is my list. Please give me suggested order I should add these: 5 Pajama Cardinals, pair of B&W Occelaris, Regal Tang, Kole Tang, Yellow Tang, 1 Genicanthus Angel or possibly a smaller breed pair such as Lamarck, and a Mandarin. I know there are varied opinions on the number of tangs to a 120 so I am strictly looking for an order of addition, not a reading of the riot act from the tang police. I respect your opinion, but I have seen experienced people on both sides of the fence. Please just stick to answering my specific question. Thanks!

no mandarin.... unless you are introducing serious live rock with lots of pods. it just wont make it. I like the lineup, should be really colorful

Mandarin will be added last and after some nice pod reproduction has taken place in the tank. Also, I plan on starting a separate tank to grow Tang Heaven and pods and will just switch out rocks regularly so that new pods get added to the tank.

Still looking for suggestions on the stocking order, but I am picking up a pair of B&W Occelaris tomorrow. I'm looking forward to having some decent movement in there finally!

This may be a dumb statement be if you just added 50lbs of live rock doesn't the tank need to cycle? Wouldn't adding fish right now be a bad idea?
