36 bow question
good evening,
I have a 36 bow and am in the process of turning it into a reef tank. I am ordering the 247 from oceanrevive, but I have a question about the cross piece of plastic that is for the hood. Has anyone cut that off or is it going to be fine with the light and not create dark spots in the middle of the tank? |

Do not cut it out, it is necessary to support the sides of the tank. If you are handy with tools you could replace it with euro-bracing.

It may seem flimsy now but will be stiff when the tank is filled....

Leave it. It does no really effect the light enough to worry about.
