eshopps sumps
Has anyone had any expierence with the eshopps sumps, the local store I'm getting my setup for my 93 gal carries them. This will be my first aquarium with a sump as I have always done nano tanks. Would it be better to to a refugium in the sump or not? I want to make sure I get a awesome filtration system the will be the best for the tank in the long run

There are refugium setups out there that are very nice but it needs more maintenance if you want to keep it clean and deterius free even with a sock.
If you do get an eshopps, get one that has the sides connected somehow. I have an RS-200 and it's a good sump but the quality is just so so, serviceable but thin acrylic. I would buy a Trigger systems sump if I were to do it again and not go custom. |

I currently own am eshopps rs300. If I could go back in time I would buy something else. There is nothing wrong with the sump, I just don't really like it. And I hate the way the filter socks are!!
If I get around to it I'm going to cut the incoming section out to remove the filter socks and make a different design.
