Exclamation Wave Point T5 or Aquatic Life T5?

Ok so that Odyssea light burnt a ballast and filled my apartment with burnt smell last night.(Feel free to throw out the "told ya' so"). I'm not gonna try to fix it.

I need a light ASAP.

The LFS has Wave point 4 light T5 for $200 plus tax pick up tonight.

Amazon has on Prime the Aquatic Life for $280 delivered on Tuesday.

Which is the smarter buy?

Soft corals should be fine with no light till Tuesday right?

Thanks for the info.

Corals will be fine without light for longer than you think.

The aquatic life is the better fixture but both need new bulbs for their true potential. So plan on another $20/bulb for that.

Ok just to wrap up the thread. Turns out I called a different fish shop than the one I visited. (Got names and phone numbers mixed up).

Anyway, I enended up over paying like $50 for a Coralife Lunar Aqualight HO T5. The reason I chose to get it and pay the extra cash is because they gave me in house warranty for the light for a year. I figure that would be worth it.

Thanks again for the help!

What size? Coralife is known to use special size bulbs so you can only buy their garbage bulbs.

I have a Wavepoint 216w T5 that's 5 yrs old. All 4 lights come on at once. I'm buying a aquatic life fixture in a few weeks. How much do I cut back on the hrs of lighting so I don't bleach the corals out?
