kalk to ca reactor

I presently maintain my ca/alk levels with saturated kalk in my top off. I plan to move to a calcium reactor as demand increases. My question is whether there is any advantage to using both or should I just switch completely to reactor and just use straight ro/di for top off ?

Using both allows you to maintain a higher PH. Sometime the lower ph from the cal reactor drops your ph in tank so kalk allows you to maintain it properly
