ASM G2 pump Recommandations

I acquired a ASM G2 skimmer with out a pump. It was running a mag 5 but it is dead.
Should I replace it with the Sedra 3500 the new ones come with or is there a better pump you like better.
Is looks SOOO much better clean and almost like new LOL. It was free

Are you sure you don't just need a new impeller?

No, but I will give one a try before I toss it. I could use the Mag 5 for something else if it does work. Do you think the Mag 5 is best for this skimmer?

I see that. Pull the impeller. The magnets are somewhat known to swell up. Mine did it after about 5 years, (I bought it used though). Here's where you can get an impeller or a pump if you're interested.

I'm planning to run a DC3000 on my G1X. DC powered and dead silent. Hoping it works out. I have no issue with the Sedra 3500 currently on it other than noise.

My Sedra 3500 worked pretty good.

when the 3500 failed I replaced it with Sedra 5000 (had to enlarge the hole in the skimmer body for the elbow)

If you dont already have a silencer (pvc "pill") you should make one.
