Rodi replacement filters

Alight so I have a kent marine rodi unit and I need to replace the filters. So I have a question do I have to use the specific kent filters or can I use these ones I found on vivid aquariums, the only reason that I don't go with the kent is because I'm having trouble finding the right ones

I assume you are talking about the sediment filter and the carbon block? You can buy them most anywhere. Get the best price and look for 1.0 or 5.0 micron. The smaller the micron the smaller the particles removed.

You will want to replace th DI filter whenever the output water registers 1 or higher TDS. You should have a TDS meter. Your best bet would be to get a dual in line meter.

Carbon and Sed should be replaced whenever the output water from the RO membrane begins to increase from less than a 98% rejection rate of the TDS of the incoming water (from water supply) E.g. Tap water TDS 300, RO output should be about 6 and DI output should be 0. If the RO output gets to about 10 replace the Carbon and Sed.

RO membrane should last 5+ years depending on use.

To preserve the life of the DI resin, you should back flush the RO Membrane after every use.

I buy my DI resin in bulk and have a refillable cartridge. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/catalo...t/view/id/168/ and http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/catalo.../view/id/2042/

Hope this helps

***.buckeyehydro.com/premium-rodi-filter-kit/ , Using these for three years with no complaints, resin is easy to notice when time to change. I guess they changed their name
