Upgrade to Echotech Radions?
Hey everyone,
I have been thinking about getting a new lighting system for my 40 gall breeder display. I currently have a chinese 125w led fixture set up however I don't know if it just giving my coral sufficient lighting as I have not seen much coral growth in the past 4 months. I also just set up an apex system so I thought the radion would be a nice addition since it is fully controllable with the apex. My question is for anyone with a 40 breeder with radions, Is one radion light enough or will I need two? My light will b in a closed canopy so the light wont be escaping off to the sides but I don't want to buy one just to find out that I will need another. Any ideas on if one will be enough for my size tank and set up? Thank you

A radion is good for a 24"x24" area out of the box. Or close to 36" if you install the wide angle lenses.

I have a single Radion on my 58 show tank that is 36" long and it does just great. It's been in place for a year now.

Im about to order a Gen 3 for my 36x12x17. Im going to try without the wide angle lens for a while and see how it does. You can always raise the light to get more spread

I think that one Radion G3 or G3 Pro using the Wide-Angle Lens would work excellent on your 40BR!
