Build My Led fixtures?

I saw these in person recently and was impressed with the growth and colors. Took a look at their site, configured a couple lights and decided to try them out.
Any updates from people here with them?

For now I went with a 50/50 mix on two 12" with varying wavelengths of blue and white. From there I am going to probably supplement with my tiny uv/red/green strip no lenses for color/spectrum sake.

I was ready to pull the trigger on these lights but then they really dont offer the control ability I want. I believe they are coming out with a controller soon though. I was about to get 2x 14k xp fixtures, I don't believe the custom layout comes with the stronger led's yet.

I will only have sps near the top....probably about 8" from the light at most I think the xb would force me down further into the tank with corals favoring med light. I'm not running open top so these will be like an 1" above the water.
Am pretty curious to see the xbs in action though.

they have teasers of the controllable lights but they arnt out yet lol, I liked the idea of them being in strips that would cover the tank 100%

I'm confused, we are talking about the cube right...lol? Any of the current ones totally cover it, I think I know what you mean though.

I use BML fixtures as a supplement to my MH on my 300. The biggest problem with LED that I see is giving aquarist too many choices on the controls of LED. So many set up there LEDs by using there eyes and not a meter. So they get something that is pleasing to the eye versus something that may be better for there corals? I like the look of the 14K and I am getting close to getting one of the new 20K fixtures. I don't need a sun up to sun down feature I just want something that works and looks good, but that's me.

Hmm the slow ramp up to maximum intensity ( set at proper growth spectrums) is important to me, for the fish's sake. Also replicating lunar and sunrise is cool and cloud cover during the max intensities give corals and fish a small break from high noon. Nothing bugs me more about my current non dim able leds then when they power on and boom mid day sun.

I did not realize there was a LED fixture that competed with mother nature and the mid day sun with spectrum, PAR and intensity? I just walked outside here in San Antonio with cloudy slight drizzle and the PAR meter said 136 in February. I wonder what it is in bright sunlight and in June? No one says you have to cut on all your fixtures at once, and if you like sunrise to sunset that is okay too as long as you give your animals enough light for a certain period of time. What I am saying is being able to adjust the whites, red, greens, blues without using a meter is gambling. Right now with BML you can ramp the fixtures up and down with a third party controller.

They are semi compatable and dimmable using third party like an Apex. I chose not to get them because the control wasn't as seamless as I liked. But yes you can get sunrise/sunset, etc. also, at the time they only had one driver per light, more options now.

I hear ya there. I'm content with any ramp really, easy to please I guess. The detailed effect features are pretty fun today with. My main reason for these is that I can set a spectrum I want on 3-4 different bars and control those individually in a pre made solid fixture...and I mean solid(doubles as a riot baton). With the wide optics and type used when I saw them they spread is sweet, totally different than the circular lenses. Seems to stand up to the claim of filling more light in.
My approach is keeping the "staple colors" set that give a 10k look and not mixed as I've found that the warmer whites going up to 6500k give the best growth. I use another driver for my red/yellow which is important for shallow water corals and finally one more for the pop of the 400-UV range. These are just fun to make!
