ready to upgrade

Hello,
I have been doing saltwater for about 2 yrs and am ready to upgrade to a 125 gallon with sump. What are your suggestions for have to have equipment? What has made your life aka tank easier to maintain? Lights, protein skimmer, etc? Just in general...doing a reef tank
Pam

What do you want to keep? FOWLR, Softies, LPS, SPS, Mixed Reef?

Think about what you have already that can be transferred or reused in your new tank: Refractometer, Test Kits, smaller return pumps for reactors, cleaning supplies, foods, etc.

As for lighting, what are you interested in? T5, LED, MH, or a combination?

You probably want a skimmer that is rated for about double (2x) the tank volume...you dont want a skimmer to big because it will run inefficiently (like rated 3x-4x water volume).
