Don't do it underwater if you're using superglue!!! I almost ruined a whole tube trying it. Water accelerates the drying process and it will get in the tube and make it all rock hard. I speak from experience lol!!!

You can use superglue gel or the putty and yes you can do it in the water.

Yes you can. But you have to squeeze glue from the tube underwater or apply a lot of it. I would also recommend get few putty sticks and use it along with a glue.

It sora depends, like Xenia just cut along the base and either glue it to a small rock or some people take a pin and pin the stalk to the rock ( I have never done this so idk) also you can take a rubber band and hold it down to the rock until it grows on it ( I haven't done this one either) I normally get a small frag plug, right now I recently did It with GSP and just set it close to where you want it to attach to let it attach and grow for about 2-4 weeks and just remove it from the spot hopefully the part that attached to where you want it will tear off the original pice giving you the frag and pice on the rock. I recently just cut a very small 2cm X 2cm square of GSP glued the purple flesh/mat onto a flat pice of some putty I had leftover set it in a safe and very ideal spot for it and waited until I saw some polyps out of the flesh / mat then glued it the back wall of my tank for a backdrop and it has exploded! Te trick is to get the gel and get the coral take a paper towel ( only if it is rock to anything else, try not to dry the coral itself!) if it is coral to rock you are fine with just gluing the coral to the rock. Then dry the rock and apply glue then attach to surface ( try to dry the surface if possible, if underwater make sure to push and break that layer that solidified when you put it into the water)
Example- GSP-> no dry coral just glue to dried rock GSP on rock -> dried bottom of GSP rock to wall ( underwater) perfect growth! |

I glue frags down on rock that is under water all the time.
All you have to do is put a big glob of superglue gel on the frag and push it down on the rock. Just hold it still for a few seconds and carefully pull your hand away, being careful not to move the frag. It will be a little fragile for a while, but will eventually harden .

I ruined a new tube of purple tinted superglue doing just that. It wasn't cheap either.
